Electrostatic dust removal is a method of gas dust removal. The dusty gas is electrically separated when passing through the high-voltage electrostatic field, and the dust particles and negative ions combine with a negative charge and tend to discharge and deposit on the anode surface. It is used to purify gas or recover useful dust particles in metallurgical, chemical and other industries. A dust collection method that uses electrostatic field to ionize the gas so that the dust particles can be charged and adsorbed on the electrode. In a strong electric field, the air molecules are ionized into positive ions and electrons, and the electrons encounter dust particles during the process of running to the positive electrode, so that the dust particles are negatively charged and adsorbed to the positive electrode for collection. Of course, in recent years, through technological innovation, negative plates have also been used to collect dust. The coal ash and dust in the flue gas are collected from the plants and power stations that usually use coal as fuel. It is used to collect oxides such as tin, zinc, lead and aluminum in metallurgy. Now there are also dust removal and sterilization products that can be used for household use.
The electrostatic precipitator requires about 50~68 kV. The power supply of electrostatic precipitator is composed of control box, step-up transformer and rectifier. The output voltage of the power supply also has a great impact on the dust removal efficiency. Therefore, the operating voltage of electrostatic precipitator should be maintained at 40-75 kV or even above 100 kV.
